Italian Villa
The Italian Villa can be found throughout the country, especially in southern Italy. Two styles emerge from this region; a more formal style, the Italianate Villa; as well as an informal style known as the Tuscan Manor House. Cut stone found on the exterior facades blend into both tinted and Venetian plaster finishes inside the home. Rib vaulted ceilings emerge as a feature that is consistently seen throughout the residences. Iron balconies adorn the exterior while iron staircases showcase limestone treads on the interior of the Villas. Clay tile roofs are the most prevalent type that is replicated . Cobble stone walk ways and driveways lead up to the manor; reminescent of an era gone by.
